The road from the admin building is dark, rainy and doesn't feel right. I know we are headed up to where Doc saw that figure scurrying away but I just hope we aren't going to run into the Eridanus rebels. I was hoping this job would be easier than the last one. There's a mess hall on the left and a habitat on the right but our target is straight ahead - C Habitat. Krunch headed over to check out the damaged hole while Doc kept an eye on the road. I headed over to the motor pool with Silbo and Lt. Fruitcup but the three trucks here are undamaged and the gates out of this colony are closed and secured....
Goddamned ambush! I think someone tossed a frag on top of Doc...I saw him jump and roll out of the damage so I think he's ok. Silbo and Lt. are taking cover by the trucks but I can see Krunch taking fire from inside the building. Some auto fire from down a hallway or something, so I am charging in. Tossed a frag down the hall and Krunch is getting hit hard. Jumping up into the next level to look around. Maybe I can find another way around to blindside these bastards. I pulled Silbo up here now but the rest are ignoring me. I still don't know where Doc is. Screw it...maybe ill get demoted again but I need to leave those guys and find a way around. Silbo opened the door and I opened up both barrels of Big Bertha...took out one target. Silbo rushed down the hall and darted down a side door on the right. I followed him, the body is an AI, fucking white cum pouring everywhere, but he was carrying a semi auto pistol (looked like a raptor) but I don't have time for this. Instead of following Silbo, I kept going to the end of the hallway. Found some frags in a room. I can hear the gunfire continuing downstairs, hopefully I am not too late. Headed down the stairs to the landing, more AI blood and an empty cartridge but it looks like we've taken down the enemy.
More fighting outside by the trucks but by the time I get there, it looks like whatever was trying to get away in those trucks isn't going anywhere but up in flames.
All the rooms in this habitat are numbered and named but none of it matches our guys. They moved pretty much all their furniture to block the doors and windows. They were definitely using this place as a defensive holdout. Looked around the basement found some useful stuff: maglight, crowbar and a PDA with a log - the most recent entry was April 1 - keeps talking about some lab.
headed over to the other Habitat - rooms here match our targets...oh boy this isn't good. Went room to room, located 4 bodies, shot or bludgeoned on the two floors. One of our boys was AI - looks like he was surgically opened up hopefully after he died. In the basement, there are two bodies ... neither one matches Hyperdyne employee list. One is a guy named Anderson, mentioned a few times in the log. Both bodies bludgeoned to death. Just to add to the carnage, a naked dead body in the shower.
This isn't good, gotta find this lab the logs talked about.

What an Eyesore!
The year is 2153. March. We’ve been fighting these damn rebels for weeks now to stop em from landing on Titan. Last I checked, we’ve lost 2/3rds of our platoon and now Lt. Fruitcup is somehow in charge. We’ve taken Foe’s Hammer down to the moon surface for some R&R and to await further orders. Its nice here. Easy to forget what’s going on miles away. Im sure this place will be overrun sooner rather than later but the ICC has a militia stationed here so it shouldn’t be a rout.
Lt. Fruitcup contacted ICC and received word from Col. Spears that a representative from Hyperdyne, John Allen, would be arriving on Titan soon to escort us to the Eyesore system where we would be looking into the disappearance of some 50 civilian employees of Hyperdyne that were subcontracted by Weyland . Apparently Weyland specializes in atmospheric conditioning technologies and Hyperdyne works in Artificial Intelligence. I couldn’t care less. I do what I am told. I’m a gun and meatshield to this team. Been demoted so many times, I lost count.
Allen decided to escort us with his half dozen bodyguards. If there’s a problem, I am sure they’ll be the first to fall. I don’t even think Allen is armed. Just another suit. We went into cryo for the trip and emerged outside of Eyesore I…a ringed planet ,damp, terrestrial. The rings were really just loads of junk circling the planet. Lt. sent a message planetside while Corporal ‘Captain’ Krunch scanned the planet for life. No sign of life…I’m not surprised. Civies shouldn’t be out this far without military support. I was surprised when Lt.’s message was returned by a guy named Craig Wilkes. Told us everything was fine down here and not sure why communication had cut off. When we asked to land planetside to look into things, his response was a bit too terse for my taste. The hair on the back of my neck is standing up. I hate body hair.
We landed on a gravel landing area… the only ship in sight…not far from some sort of admin building with a tower overlooking the landing area. Signs point to habitation but nothing in view. Lt. ordered us into the building to find an office entry area…abandoned…with a blood stained wall. Doc confirmed it was blood and we found a few bullet holes. Doc’s keen eye located some blood drippings on their way out the northern door. Krunch opened the door briefly and noted it led into the colony itself. We decided to look into the rest of the building before venturing out into the colony. The suits and Lt were playing with the computer’s contents. Seems like it confirms the presence of our targets arriving planetside as well as a slew of recent departures..all of them Weyland employees. Something isn’t right here. We headed through an eastern door to secure the rest of the building. Nothing significant beyond a lift leading up to the tower. This room was a clusterfuck. Completely burnt out and clearly intentionally lit. Nothing workable. No radio. No files. How the fuck did they contact us with all this damage?? Lt. figures he can juryrig the mechanical stuff to get it working again. Nothing here is going to help. Next stop…climb the ladder to the roof of the tower. Once atop the tower, we had a clearer view of the colony and Doc swears he saw something or someone running towards a large building near the back of the colony. Only problem is that building is about 1/3rd damaged. Another fire maybe? Damn I love fire.
Heading back down to the first level to head to the North. Maybe we can find whats left of these employees, get paid, and get the fuck out of here.
