I can't believe what I saw....how much time has passed? how long have I been curled up here in a ball? I better go find out what the status of everything is. Last I remember, that thing came out of Peterson's body and Doc was here.
Oh boy, it turns out I missed a lot. I am going to need to do some serious politicking to avoid another demotion. Doc and Krunch are both dead and Lt. is in cryo so he doesn't decline and die. Saggins stepped in and apparantly shot that thing out of the airlock. It must have gotten big really fast for it to have done this to Krunch. I checked with Saggins and he says we should talk to Allen. Three of his guys went by the wayside too. He must be shaken up. He claims that our mission was to retrieve those Hyperdyne employees but why does he keep mentioning weapons. We decide to go the route of full disclosure - we show him Massey's log and he claims that HD knew WY was designing some new weapons but insists the alien thing was completely unknown to him. Turns out another crew of marines and HD people are on their way. Maybe a week or two out of range. We are going to wait here and hope Fruitcup can make it out of this alive.
Seems like there isn't much activity on the planet. Every now and then, it seems like a smaller ship comes up to the atmosphere and scavenges some scrap for their work. I wonder how far away they are from making a larger vessel airworthy.
The vessels arrive a few weeks later. Seems like they have a crew of about four more marines. Two rifleman, a corpsman, engineer. Seems like one of the Rifleman is ready to take control if Fruitcup doesn't make it out. The Corpsman takes him into his care but its going to take a few days before he is ready to be up and around. In the meantime, Saggins and I decided the best thing to do was take these guys aside and let them know the buzzsaw we may be walking into. I don't think anyone should be shocked to know these guys are up to no good. The real surprise though will be more of these aliens. I don't want another group of marines to meet the same end as our two boys. They seem surprised. Not a good sign. I don't trust Allen anymore or any of these Hyperdyne employees.
Looks like fruitcup is going to make it. Some cybernetic parts in place but he looks good considering. I hope he doesn't have much of a memory of what happened. Pretty horrifying if you ask me. Looks like a ship is making its way towards us...or maybe...yea its trajectory seems to take it right for Eyesore's star! What the fuck? we hailed the ship and HD employee, Collin Henry, answered that we shouldn't get in their way! Who or what does he think is going on. We gave him a few more chances but we have no choice but to board.
A few minutes later we are lined up to enter the craft. Fruitcup, me and Saggins are on one boarding vessel and the four newer guys are on the other. I figure Ill get to know them more formally if they make it out alive. All the smoke and debris from these boarding operations always make the first moment or two rather scary. When I can finally see something, looks like there are three Exo guys in here. I tossed a grenade at the pair of them to soften em up. Shooting everywhere. looks like one of them is charging Fruitcup and Saggins for some melee. Id help but ive got to deal with these two guys. I love my flamethrower. Nothing better than the look on someone's face when I light em up. Sounds like the marines are coming in through another door. There goes the first one, dropped by a rifle blast. Meanwhile the corpsman looks like he's trying to revive him. The others are swarming in to help drop these guys. Oh shit, more of em. What does that guy have? Holy shit what kind of weapon is that?
Wow my head is spinning, that hurt so bad. These guys are getting back up. I don't think I can take another hit like that. We have to finish them off after they fall. Thank god, someone took that guy out. Looks like the rifleman is chasing one of them off to the bridge. Oh boy, something happened to the controls because we are headed full speed somewhere fast! Looking around, it seems like we survived another one. Well, most of us did. One guy down. Ill finish these bastards off with the shotgun. Looks like we found an armory and Saggins figures we have about an hour to turn this ship apart. Destination - Eyesore. I don't want to be on board when we get there.

We need backup
One level lower but at least this time we found a ladder so we don't have to be sitting ducks in that lift. This room is dark and a waiting room maybe? a couple of doors both of which are closed without any noise behind them. There seems to be a camera in here too but doesn't seem to be active. Lt. directed us through the larger of the doors because the other one is some kind of clean room and all this talk of specimens and experiments makes us feel like maybe opening that door isn't the wisest move.
This new room is filled with shelves and crates and boxes etc. More importantly there's an activated glow stick lying on the center of the floor. Someone is either in here or not far off - those don't last that long....Doc sees someone in the corner hiding. Flashed on the lights and surrounded the guy. He's definitely Hyperdyne and seems totally disoriented. His name is Ferguson and he seems grateful to see us. 'Bout time someone wants us here. He keeps saying that he wants to go home. Doc is tending to him, turns out he was brought right from the landing area to the atmosphere plant to work on broken machines, but nothing was broken when he arrived. He was brought here immediately and saw some scary shit. People shot and killed and he claimed he's hiding from a dozen guards or so who are holding about 30 HD employees. Personally, I don't think this guy can be relied on for exact numbers and I am willing to guess that those people have already left the planet. Lt. and Doc have decided this is too much work for our squad, so we climbed the ladder back up but had to jump off on the third level to avoid the lift. Someone is moving around and we'd rather not be seen.
We are hiding on the third level when the lift stops on our level. Our luck couldn't be worse. Just when we found someone alive to talk to and work all this out, we can't alert the whole complex. Instead of being sitting ducks, I charged the guy, rifle butted him and Doc finished the job. This AI won't be any trouble for us. Back up the ladder and to the truck.
Allen's bodyguards need to be called to bring the truck around. They claimed there was some activity on the surface so they wanted to get out of sight. This guys are acting strange. Asking questions about weapons. Best to keep the details to ourselves. We are sticking to the mutiny storyline and playing our cards close to the chest.
After meeting back with Allen, it took some convincing but I think he understands we can't do this on our own. He is definitely disappointed but it seems like he knows this is something darker than a mutiny. I don't like that. Seems suspicious. We took Foe Hammer back up to the Marla and got paid (with an additional $5000!).
While Lt. and Krunch talk the logistics through with Allen, Doc and I are going to take care of Ferguson. He says he's really not feeling well. Ill stay out of the way but I don't want to leave Doc alone with this guy. This should be far enough...WHAT IS GOING ON???! OH MY /.. I ... WHAT...this is not good...something came OUT of him!

WY is up to no good
Checking out the mess hall now that we know there's no immediate danger - looks clear. Lots of dining tables, clean kitchen ... just what I expected. Its a nice change not to see any bodies.
We stumbled onto a garage. Looks like they were working on a truck's engine. Lots of tools, some flashlights but more importantly some crawler keys - hopefully they match the two remaining crawlers in the motorpool. Next stop, check out the guardhouse by the gate and the water treatment building. Nothing here except another radio. Now at least three of us are equipped to communicate. Headed to the water building - just what it looks like from the outside - a huge filtration chamber with an upper level looking out over the colony. Before checking out the upstairs, we found a trapdoor with a ladder descending into the darkness. Silbo and I climbed down and found some sort of tunnel system so we regrouped on the main level. After calling in the three bodyguards, we climbed the ladder up to a master control room. From there Doc could see a junkyard off to the West with some kind of spotlight. To the North, four towers were visible, perhaps marking some sort of large plant. Before heading to either one, we still have to inspect that last habitat.
Left the bodyguard in the control room and headed out to the other guard tower. Damn another body (Akia) bludgeoned to death...another one. Habitat F is empty some Doctor sleeping rooms, no bodies but Lt. found a security clearance card for Dr. Bueller.
We decide to head into the tunnels. Green and Blue pipes line the ceiling but these tunnels go on forever. Rather than go either direction too far, we headed up. We're going to take a truck to the junkyard. Id rather do that frankly...I hate creeping around. If there's something brewing in the yard, send in the dogs directly, I say.
The bodyguards are going to take one truck and we will take the rest. Turns out John Allen is pretty shaken up by the news of the dead Hyperdyne employees - offers us an extra grand for any living employee we can locate. At least he appreciates what's on the line here. Although, I doubt we are going to find anyone alive. No matter what, we have to find this "facility" if we are going to get off this rock.
Heading into the junkyard, huge piles of junk on either side. around the corner with the light, four humanoids moving junk around. Appears they're looking for something. One of them is in an exoskeleton? Do we drive right in? Well, looks like the decision is made for us. One of those guys is headed towards the truck.
Oh fuck, running away and shouting 'space marines' isn't a good sign. I hopped out of the truck while Silbo floors is an squishes one like a grape. Finally a chance to burn something. Love the smell of burning flesh. One down and on fire. Lots of damage to the truck. I think that exo guy must have thrown something awfully heavy at the truck. There's glass everywhere. Looks like Allen's guards are taking care of one of the enemies. Meanwhile, I'm gonna light this fucker up. Good hit, but damn that exo keeps out maneuvering me around the truck. By the time I get him in view, looks like Lt. has put in the final shot.
At least one of these guys is Hyperdyne, but the one I burned and the one we drove over are unidentifiable. The exo guy isn't a guy at all. Some sort of machine. Looks like they were digging out a ship. A small one called the Benedict. Never heard of it, its at least three generations old. While the rest of the guys are assessing the damage to the truck, I'll climb a pile of junk and get a look around. Looks like a small building a bit further West. Surrounded by a fence. After I let the rest of the team know, we take the second truck to the buidling.
There's a comp terminal to let us in and a partially completed ship on the other side of hte building. these people are really looking to get off this planet. We have SOMETHING in common at least. Lt. uses the security card to get us into the elevator. Level 1 is an office with a tunnel lined with a green pipe - My guess is it connects back to those other tunnels. Not my job to guess though. Level 2 is a hallway with a door. I can hear an exo on the other side. No thanks. I don't think we are in any condition to take on another one. Back to the elevator to level 3. A lab area with a glass viewing wall. Doc says he can see 2 exos and 3 guys in Hyperdyne unis moving junk and some glass cylinders filled with some liquid. Looks like they are about one level below us and there's a garage door down there. Doc says he can see another drop ship too. What are they doing?
Lt. found another log in the computer from some WY doctor. Talking about some scary shit and Tungsten. Looks like they were here for Tungsten and uncovered something deep below the surface older than humans. They are testing some weapon on humans. Looks like some of our names on the list have been id'ed as specimens. Not good. Before we go any lower, we have to talk about our options.
